The course is designed for people who wish to work as personal trainers and fitness instructors, either as self employed professionals or as part of a health fitness team in clubs around Ireland and internationally. You will develop the knowledge and skills needed to become a competent personal trainer and fitness instructor, dealing with adults of all ages who wish to participate in exercise and physical activity. This qualification is approved by the Register of Exercise Professionals (UK). REPs UK is the largest register for exercise professionals in the world with over 30,000 members. Through ICREPs, REPs UK is aligned with all national professional registers across Europe, New Zealand and Australia.  This qualification is also mapped to the Qualifications & Credit Framework (UK) and aligned to the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) Ireland at Level 5.

Qualifications Awarded
National Diploma in Personal Training (NSC)
Certificate in Personal Training (VTCT )
VTCT qualifications are aligned to The National Framework of Qualifications (QQI Ireland) at Level 5 and REPs Europe (EREPs) at Level 4. VTCT qualifications are also recognised in Australia and New Zealand through ICREPs.
The NSC personal trainer qualification is recognised by the relevant insurance bodies. Graduates of this programme can obtain professional indemnity insurance to practice in Ireland and across Europe for approx. €140.

Course Fee – Qualified Gym Instructors
€800 ( early bird) or €900 paid in installments.
Course fee includes registration, course notes, and certification.
Examination fees of €150 is due in the final month of training.

New Entrant Option – €1,750 (early bird)
This programme covers Gym Instructor and Personal Trainer qualifications.
Direct Debit Option – €1,850. Pay your course fee over the duration of your programme.
Examination fees of €200 are due in the final month of training.
Course fees and examination fees must be paid in full prior to final assessments.
A course deposit of €100 must be paid to reserve a student place on this programme.

For New Entrants looking to acquire a PT qualification, your course will start October 2016 at locations in Dublin and Kildare.

Winter 2016 Courses – There are 5 courses starting in December 2016, 3 starting in Athy, Co. Kildare and 2 starting in Dublin 4.
3 Courses starting in Athy, Co. Kildare this October, 2016; Course 1: Weekend Course (2 weekends per month), Course 2: Weekday Course (every Wednesday), Course 3: Evening Course (every Wednesday).
2 Courses starting in Dublin this October, 2016; Course 4: Weekday Course (every Thursday), Course 5: Evening Course (every Thursday).

Course 1: Weekend Course – KILDARE – 4 weekends in total (Sat. & Sun. from 9:30am to 4:30pm).  Dates are as follows:

Course 2: Weekday Course – KILDARE (Wednesday) – 1 day per week over 8 weeks (9:30am to 4:30pm).  Dates are as follows:
December 14.
January 4, 11, 18, 25.

Course 3: Evening Course – KILDARE (Wednesday) – 1 evening per week over 10 weeks (7pm to 10pm).  Dates are as follows:
