EXERCISE TO MUSIC course irelandThe Qualification
This training programme will prepare you for a career in the sport and active leisure industry as a fitness instructor – teaching exercise to music and circuit training.  Throughout this programme you will develop an understanding of anatomy and physiology, the principles of exercise, fitness and health, and relevant health, safety and welfare in the fitness environment.  You will develop the knowledge and skills needed to plan and instruct an exercise to music/circuit training programme for healthy adults of all ages.  In addition you will be equipped to offer support to clients who take part in exercise and physical activity. This qualification is endorsed by the Register of Exercise Professionals (UK).  REP’s UK is the largest register for exercise professionals in the world with over 30,000 members.  Through ICREPs,  REPs UK is aligned with all the national professional registers across Europe, New Zealand and Australia.  This qualification is also mapped to the Qualifications & Credit Framework (UK) and recognised by QQI (Ireland), comparable to Level 4 on The National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) Ireland.

Qualifications Awarded
National Certificate in Group Fitness Instruction (NSC)
Certificate in Fitness Instruction – Exercise to Music (VTCT)

VTCT qualifications are mapped to QCF (UK), recognised by QQI (Ireland) and EQF (Europe), accredited by REPs UK, recognised in Europe (EREPs Level 3) and in Australia/New Zealand through ICREPS.  NSC qualifications allow graduates to operate as professional fitness instructors and are recognised by industry insurance bodies. Professional indemnity insurance can be obtained by NSC graduates at a cost of approx. €140.

Previous Qualifications Required: Leaving certificate or equivalent. Mature applicants (over 25) without a leaving cert will also be considered. Applicants must be computer literate as course notes are provided online and participants are required to submit project work via email.

Course Fee
From €1,000 (new entrants) or from €800 (Qualified Gym Instructors/Personal Trainers)
New Entrants are people who have no previous health fitness qualifications.  Course fee includes registration and course notes.  Examination fees of €150 are due in the final month of training.  Your have the option of paying your course fee by direct debit.

Standard Payment (New Entrant) – €1,100 standard fee or €1,000 (early bird offer)
Course fee can be paid over 3 installments.  If the course fee is paid in full prior to the course start date, a discount of €100 will be given (early bird offer).  Examination fees of €150 must be paid in full prior to final assessments.
A course deposit of €100 is required reserve a student place on this programme.

Qualified Gym Instructors / Personal Trainers – €900 standard fee or €800 (early bird offer)

Money Back Promise!  NSC will refund any course payments right up to your first day of training, no questions asked!  We take the worry out of making the decision to do a course.  If you sign up to any of our training programmes and then decide not to go ahead, we will refund all of your deposit.  This money back promise expires on the first day of your training course.
