ABOUT THIS COURSE
Functional Mobility Screening is a grading system created to assess and document functional movement patterns. By assessing these patterns, functional limitations and asymmetries are readily identified. The goal of this CPD programme is to introduce trainers and therapists to the benefits of utilising this form of orthopaedic screening in order to reduce potential injury from poor training patterns. FMS is equally effective in rehabilitation as well as conditioning because it targets the weak link in movement patterns. At the heart of the system is the Functional Mobility Screen score and the movement patterns, which are directly linked to the most beneficial corrective exercises to restore mechanically sound mobility. In order to fully benefit from this programme, participants should have a very strong knowledge of anatomical movement and resistance training.
Entry Requirements:
Applicants must hold a qualification in personal training, strength and conditioning, sports massage, neuromuscular therapy, physical therapy or physiotherapy.
